Cycling & Mountain Biking

Cycling and mountain biking in the Zillertal

The farther you bike through the Zillertal, the further away you get from the everyday, and you can become one with the breathtaking natural scenery of our home region. In the fresh mountain air, you have the opportunity to experience the magnificent landscape of the Zillertal up-close on an unbelievable 800 km of developed cycling and mountain bike routes. The Zillertal Arena alone offers 325 km of bike routes from Tyrol's Zillertal to Salzburg's Pinzgau and is well-known for its diverse network of trails.

Biking fun for families and aficionados

From Campingdorf Hofer, you can conveniently reach the 31 km long Zillertal Bike Path, which leads along the Ziller from the valley entrance to Mayrhofen without any noticeable incline. Along this idyllic route, you can get to know the picturesque towns of the Zillertal, and you have the opportunity to stop at service stations, pools, and cozy coffee houses. If you have run out of energy by the time you start your journey back, the Zillertalbahn transports bikes for free.

If the Zillertal isn't big enough for you, you can bike on the leisurely Tauern Bike Path along the Salzach to Passau.

Have you ever tried an e-bike? With environmentally-friendly electric power, you can ride along wonderful bike routes without getting out of breath. An excellently developed network of rental and charging stations will provide your bike with power for your ride from the valley floor up into the mountains.
